A marma massage session, following a general massage, on all the body, lasts 60-90 minutes. During this time, the therapist stimulates the all 107 points or focusses his/her attention on a group of marma points, according to the individual needs.
Points are stimulated with one or more fingers, according to the point dimension. Beginning with a soft touch, pressure is increased gradually until it is pleasing to those who receive the massage. The movement can be circular, both clockwise and counter clockwise, or it can be linear, with rubbing of marma area. In this way, the therapist stimulates energies and removes all the possible obstacles to the flow. The receiver may experience a deep relaxation and a sense of toning, at the same time.
