Tantra Yoga is the study of the macrocosm through the study of the microcosm. Every science, in Tantra Yoga, is conceived in order to provide practical means of realizing the highest ideals of philosophy in daily life. The life tree is studied as a whole, instead of studying its single branches. This tree represents the microcosm, a great organisation of different elements kept together by a unique law (dharma). Tantra Yoga tries to understand this law. The main aim is to expand awareness in all states of consciousness. Our birth in a particular time and place gives us our primary programming, which is influenced by family and environment. When we experience hard problems in our life, may be some of these primary programs are limiting our potential. Tantra Yoga helps us to identify those factors that play a negative role in our life and gives us the tools to remove those obstacles to our evolution that usually arise from ignorance, attachment, intolerance, selfishness. Through the Tantra Yoga practice, including physical and ritual cleaning, breathing exercises, meditation, visualization, repetition of a mantra, we learn to create peace, harmony, balance.
